Alexey Timofeyev, First Deputy Chief Executive Officer for Corporate Development and Asset of JSC Smart Holding UA, appointed to the Board of Regal Petroleum plc. Mr. Timofeyev will also be appointed CEO of Regal Petroleum plc after obtaining a British work permit.

Alexey Timofeyev has a considerable work experience in oil & gas industry. Prior to joining the Smart Holding Group, Mr. Timofeyev held positions at SJSC Naftogaz Ukrainy (the Ukrainian state oil and gas company), Concern Geo-Alliance UA and SC Ukrgazvydobuvannya, a subsidiary of SJSC Naftogaz Ukrainy.

Alexey Pertin, CEO of JSC Smart Holding UA and Denis Rudev, First Deputy Chief Executive Officer for Finance of JSC Smart Holding UA will also be appointed to the Board of Regal Petroleum plc after completion of necessary procedures.

On 6 February 2011 Regal Petroleum plc has entered into a relationship agreement with Energees Investments and JSC Smart Holding UA. The Relationship Agreement provides Energees Investments with the right to nominate 3 representatives to be appointed as Directors of the Company.
