Position of SMART GRANITE LLC on the Notice of Suspicion to the Head of Zaporizhnerudprom JSC

On 27 April 2020, Zaporizhzhya regional prosecutor’s office reported that the head of the management board in one of the joint-stock companies of Zaporizhzhya received a notice of suspicion based on the fact of illegal mining of mineral resources classified as those of national significance (part 4 of Article 240 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine). Allegedly the mining was made by applying a blasting operation.

Smart-Holding's Statement on Business Activity of Zaporozhnerudprom

Some media outlets posted information that Zaporozhnerudprom Company was shipping its product (crushed granite) to customers in the Russian Federation. This product is allegedly used in the construction of the so-called Kerch Bridge. Smart-Holding officially declares that this information does not correspond to reality. Currently, Zaporozhnerudprom does not have export contracts in its portfolio and supplies its products only to Ukrainian consumers in the domestic market.

2012 Commercial Output of Yevpatoria Construction Materials Plant Amounts to 527,000 Tonnes

Yevpatoria Construction Materials Plant (YCMP) curtailed its 2012 commercial output by 6% or 31,000 tonnes vs. the plan, down to 527,000 tonnes. At the same time, the company’s investment into the core production activity rose by 17%.

Zaporozhnerudprom 2012 Sales Amounted to Over 1 Million Tonnes of Product

Zaporozhnerudprom (Zaporozhye City) continues consistent building up of its output and shipment capacities. In 2012, the company increased its output by 34% or 247,000 tonnes as compared to the same period in 2011 (up to 976,000 tonnes). The company’s sales rose by 43% or 301,000 tonnes, i.e. up to 1,008,000 tonnes in the same period.

Balaklava Mine Group’s 2012 Marketable Output Amounted to 2.82 Million Tonnes

In 2012, Balaklava Mine Group curtailed its actual marketable output by 5% or 143,000 tonnes, down to 2.82 million tonnes, against the plan. That said, the sales of products amounted to 2.74 million tonnes. Over the same period, the company moved more than 950,000 tonnes of rock in preparing the area for the Balaklava Green project.
