Smart Holding to participate in World Economic Forum

Smart Holding representatives - Chairman of the Board Vadim Novinskiy and CEO Alexey Pertin - will participate in the 42nd Annual Meeting of World Economic Forum, which will take place in Davos, Switzerland on January 25-29, 2012.

The theme of this year’s Meeting is defined as The Great Transformation: Shaping New Models, whichreflects the need for the profound changes of global system in the face of lingering economic crisis. During the 5-day Meeting over 2,600 participants will discuss actual risks and challenges to global world and will try to find the solutions to deal with them. Experts of WEF in ‘Global Risks 2012’ report identified 50 global risks in 5 categories: economic, environmental, geopolitical, societal and technological. Five of them are the risks of greatest systemic importance, or the most influential and consequential in relation to others: chronic fiscal imbalances, greenhouse gas emissions, global governance failure, unsustainable population growth, critical systems failure.

Commenting on Smart Holding participation in WEF in Davos, Alexey Pertin, CEO of the Smart Holding stated "Davos traditionally is the most authoritative platform for discussions of the future ways of human development. The agenda of this meeting is extremely important, especially in view of a systemic financial crisis in Europe.
