Vadym Novynskyi's Charitable Foundation provided Kherson Regional State Administration with two mechanical lung ventilators, as well as 200 top-class biological protection suits, 200 masks and protective goggles for local doctors.

This is the first part of the humanitarian aid that was donated by the MP's Foundation to meet the needs of the region.

MP Vadym Novynskyi said about this in Kherson, during a briefing held following a meeting between local authorities and representatives of businesses in the region.

The Head of Kherson Regional State Administration Yuriy Gusev thanked the parliamentarian for the provided assistance. In his turn, Vadym Novynskyi said that the region will receive the next part of the humanitarian aid in the near future, once the procurement process is completed.

'Today, all business operators, both large and small, are focused on rendering help to the state in combating the spread of coronavirus infection in the country. As part of this help, we are providing two most modern mechanical lung ventilators to local hospitals. Each of them is designed for two patients who can undergo a mechanical lung ventilation procedure at the same time – that is, in fact, we brought 4 ventilators. I hope they will help those who need treatment to quickly receive it. Although globally speaking I want to believe that there will be as few cases of coronavirus in Kherson region as possible,’ Vadym Novynskyi said.

He also noted that in addition to the ventilators biological protection suits are provided to doctors of Kherson region’s hospitals, as part of the humanitarian aid.

‘We brought 200 top-class biological protection suits, 200 masks and protective goggles for doctors. These days, we must take care of our doctors more than ever. In Italy they already say: take care of your doctors, nurses, and medical personnel, because if they are down, there will be nobody to treat you. Today, this is the first part of our aid, and we are going to continue it. We have negotiated with both the Head of Kherson Regional State Administration and the Head of the regional Health Service in order to clarify what needs to be delivered to hospitals in Kherson and the region in the first place,’ the parliamentarian said.

Vadym Novynskyi also called on all businesses to contribute to the fight against the spread of the coronavirus epidemic as much as possible.

‘I urge all representatives of businesses in the region, both small and medium-sized ones, to show their worth. This crisis will show who is a friend, who is an enemy, who is your helper, who is a saboteur, and who can show mercy. I urge everyone to show our Orthodox nature and essence of helping each other,’ suggested Vadym Novynskyi.
