Vadym Novynskyi’s International Charitable Foundation in Honour of the Intercession of the Most Holy Mother of God has donated four cardiac monitors and personal protective equipment for doctors to Amosov National Institute of Cardiovascular Surgery.

This was reported by Dmytro Sergeyev, the director of Vadym Novynskyi’s Foundation who delivered the aid to the Institute on 15 July.

As noted by Vasyl Lazoryshynets, the director of Amosov Institute, thanks to the new equipment, 1,200 patients a year will have a chance to receive professional medical assistance.

‘Unfortunately, since 2012, the state has not been allocating funding for the purchase of new equipment. And thank God that there are people like Vadym Novynskyi who have the possibility to help patients and are ready to lend a helping hand. Today, we have received four cardiac monitors, thanks to which at least 1,200 patients a year will have a possibility to receive professional medical assistance in the intensive care unit and resuscitation department,’ said Vasyl Lazoryshynets.

He also thanked the Foundation for providing personal protective gear to doctors. As noted by Vasyl Lazoryshynets, the director of Amosov Institute, during the active phase of the pandemic, the Institute received patients with the coronavirus, and also provided assistance to patients who developed cardiovascular diseases as complications of COVID-19.

‘About 30% of people who had the coronavirus now have heart complications. We know that the fourth wave of the coronavirus is coming. It is already starting in Europe, which means it will reach us too. Therefore, the antiseptics and protective clothing for doctors provided by Vadym Novynskyi’s Foundation will help to protect the staff of our hospital. This is a huge help not only to the Institute, but also to our patients,’ added the director of Amosov Institute.

As noted Dmytro Sergeyev, the director of Vadym Novynskyi’s Charitable Foundation in Honour of the Intercession of the Most Holy Mother of God, the Foundation will continue its cooperation with the Institute for the purchase of new equipment.

‘Today we have brought to Amosov Institute four heart monitors, as well as 15,000 masks, 125 litres of antiseptics and 310 protective suits for doctors. This time we purchased the protective equipment from domestic manufacturers based in Kherson. And we will wait for a feedback from Amosov Institute about the quality of these products. If the Institute is satisfied with the quality, we will supply similar protective equipment to other clinics. In addition, we have received a commercial offer from a company for the supply of mobile X-ray unit, which the Institute needs as the first priority, and in the near future we will continue our cooperation,’ stressed Dmytro Sergeyev.

As reported previously, on 19 April 2021, Vadym Novynskyi’s Foundation in Honour of the Intercession of the Most Holy Mother of God donated a lung ventilator, as well as personal protective equipment for doctors to Amosov National Institute of Cardiovascular Surgery.
