Smart Urban Solutions, which represents the development division of Smart Holding, says that today due to a missile strike at 15:50 the shopping center in Kremenchug (Poltava region) was completely destroyed.
Units of the Ministry of Emergencies and security of the shopping center are engaged in evacuation of people and extinguishing a large-scale fire, the area of which reached 10.3 thousand square meters. According to official reports, 130 people and 23 machines of State Emergency Service and a fire train of Ukrzaliznytsia are involved in the firefighting. The operational group of the State Emergency Service in Poltava region is working on the spot. The number of victims is being clarified.
Smart Urban Solutions previously reported that the buildings of shopping centers in Mariupol and Severodonetsk, where large-scale fighting took place, were also almost completely destroyed. The company temporarily does not control the operation of shopping centers in occupied Melitopol and Berdyansk. In Kramatorsk, where rocket fire from russian troops has recently intensified, the mall has been shut down.
None of the shopping centers contains military equipment and is not a military facility. We are convinced that tragedies like the one in Kremenchuk cannot be justified or forgiven.
