Smart Energy Group, facilities of which are located in Kharkiv and Poltava provinces, has provided 50 mln UAH of charitable aid since the beginning of russian aggression, of which almost 46 mln UAH went for support of the Armed Forces and Territorial Defence.
Vehicles, military equipment and medicines are what the aid was primarily aimed at, since one of the provinces where the Group's facilities are located is Kharkiv province, which is still under the enemy fire. The military units of Poltava, Donetsk and other provinces received support, namely all-terrain vehicles, body armour, military uniforms, diesel generators and other power equipment to ensure military's vital activities. In addition, Smart Energy purchased 5 quadricycles for Kyiv Territorial Defence.
Another part of aid was provided to civilians, in particular, 2 mln UAH was directed to evacuation and accommodation of persons from Kharkiv, Kyiv, Donetsk and Sumy provinces.
Despite difficult situation in the country, the Group did not forget about children who remained in Ukraine, and prepared New Year's gifts for 3263 children in Kharkiv and Poltava provinces for a total amount of 276 thous UAH.
"Last year was tough for everyone, but we knew how important it was and still is to help during this critical period. Our future and the future of our State depended on each of us, on each business that was operating in this country. But the war continues. That is why today it is also important for the business to keep on going, pay taxes, provide jobs and provide assistance to those who need it the most," said Oleksiy Zayets, Acting General Director of Smart Energy Group.
It should be reminded that just as Smart Energy Group stated earlier, due to the order of The Ukrainian Geological Survey, special permits for production of hydrocarbons at Ostroverkhivske and Vasyschivske fields of private gas production companies Ukrgazvydobutok and "Prom-Energo Product have been suspended. Because of this, the State and local budgets may lose 1.3 bln UAH in taxes by the end of 2023, and the energy system may lose 135 mln m³ of gas.
