From Ship to Terminal: How Naval Logistics Burst into Grain Transhipment

Four years ago, Smart-Holding industrial and investment group decided to conquer grain transhipment in volumes tangible for the market. A decision was made to reorganize and condense the shipbuilding clusters. It was decided to create full-fledged transhipment terminals based on the unutilized capacities of the shipyards. In particular, Nikolaev shipyard of Smart Maritime Group (formerly Chernomorsky Shipbuilding Yard or ChSY) has taken this path. The shipyard is creating a production and logistics hub in an industrial park format with an emphasis on cargo transhipment. Having invested USD 6 million at the first stage, Smart-Holding set up a moderate-sized grain terminal on the premises of the plant.

Arkona Gas-Energy prepared site for first well

Arkona Gas-Energy LLC, a part of Smart Energy Group and an operator of Svystunkivsko-Chervonolutske field (Poltava oblast), completed preparation of the site for drilling the first well. Spudding is scheduled for the end of 2020. A new well will be the first one, drilled at the field since 1994.

Smart Energy Group that is one of TOP 5 biggest private gas producers of Ukraine informs that Arkona Gas-Energy LLC (a part of Smart Energy Group) filed an appeal to the Sixth Appellate Administrative Court. It aims at cancelling the ruling by the District Administrative Court of Kyiv, issued on the claim by PJSC Ukrnafta about recognizing Svystunkivsko-Chervonolutske exploration licence of Arkona Gas-Energy LLC as invalid.

SMART-HOLDING PJSC is being reorganized by transforming from a private joint stock company into a limited liability company. The shareholder, owning 100% of the Company's shares, made the corresponding decision on 3 August 2020.

Smart Energy announces unreasonable pressure on its business

At the moment employees of the National Anti-Corruption Bureau of Ukraine (hereinafter NABU) are conducting a search at the central office of Smart Energy Group (part of Smart-Holding), as well as at the office in Yakhnyki village (Poltava region). The basis for the searches is a writ of investigative judge of anti-corruption court T.R. Khamzina. Based on the wording of the writ, investigative actions are carried out as part of pre-trial investigation in criminal proceedings on legitimacy of issuing in 2017 a special permit for hydrocarbon production to Arkona Gas-Energy (hereinafter Arkona), the acquisition of which was announced on London Stock Exchange in March this year.

Smart Energy points out an unjustified pressure on the British investor and entire business of the Group.

Vadym Novynskyi's Foundation In Honour of the Intercession of the Most Holy Mother of God will allocate UAH 100,000 to families of each of the 43 medical staff members who died from COVID-19.

Vadym Novynskyi announced this on his Facebook page.

The MP congratulated medical and healthcare specialists on their professional holiday, emphasizing their special role in containing the spread of the infection in Ukraine, as well as their self-sacrificing struggle to save lives of their patients.

'This year, as never before, ordinary people riveted special attention on your work. You are the ones who give hope and those who save people during the worst pandemic in the recent history of mankind. Thanks to your work, thousands of Ukrainians have already recovered from this dangerous disease. Thanks to your efforts, the mortality rate from coronavirus in our country remains one of the lowest in the world. We thank you for that!' said the politician.

V. Novynskyi also added that during the Divine Liturgy he prays for the health of all doctors.
